DESMAN's Denver Office is Filled with Talent
September, 2008

Due to DESMAN’s continued success in the Rocky Mountain Region and the West Coast, our offices are continuing to expand! We are proud to highlight three talented individuals who are playing an essential role in the growth of our Denver office.

Hoshi Engineer

Mr. Hoshi Engineer, P.E., S.E. is an Associate Vice President and heads up DESMAN's Denver office. Hoshi came to DESMAN from another national parking consulting firm where he was a Principal and was with the company for 21 years. Prior to that, Hoshi worked for a consulting engineering firm in San Antonio, Texas.

For the last twenty years he has managed all facets of parking structures projects from conceptual to construction phase with emphasis on value engineering and quality control. He has been involved in structural and restoration design of parking structures including projects in high seismic zones implementing the state of the art technology in computer modeling.

He has a Masters in Science from University of Texas at Austin with emphasis in structural dynamics. He is a PE in CA, CO, NV and TX and a SE in AZ, CA and NV. He is also a member of ACI, AISC, PTI and SEAOC.

Hoshi lives with his family in Highlands Ranch, a suburb in South Metropolitan Denver. He has lived in Highlands Ranch ever since he moved to Colorado from Kalamazoo, MI. Where, he says, “I did my penance in the frozen tundra for 7 years.”

C. Melissa Horne

C. Melissa Horne joined DESMAN's Denver office as the Business Development Manager for the Rocky Mountain Region and West Coast. She joins DESMAN with more than ten years of experience in the A/E/C industry including previous work with another national parking consulting firm. Melissa has an undergraduate degree in Theatre, and a Masters in International/Intercultural Communication with an emphasis in China. Currently she is completing a Certificate of Advanced Study in Public Relations and Marketing at the University of Denver.

Melissa and her family enjoy living in the downtown area of Denver. Outside of work, she chases the kids around, goes to concerts and performs with a Murder Mystery Theater troop.

Bart Neu

We are excited to announce that Bart Neu has recently joined DESMAN's Denver office as a Senior Operational Consultant. He brings over 12 years of experience managing a variety of parking and transportation operations including commercial facilities, valet operations, large event venues, short and long-term airport parking, and hospital and university operations. Bart was most recently the Manager of Parking and Transportation Services at the University of Colorado Denver where he oversaw all parking and transportation operations on three of the five University of Colorado campuses.

Bart and his family live very close to the University of Denver campus in south Denver and enjoy snowboarding, fishing, boating, playing/watching lacrosse and looking for opportunities to head for the ocean.

We are excited to have such talented and interesting people as part of the DESMAN family and look forward to Hoshi, Melissa and Bart's continued success in growing the Denver office!
