DESMAN HIRED FOR CITY OF FREDERICK PARKING DECK #5
March 2007

We are proud to announce that the City of Frederick has hired DESMAN to be Prime Consultant, Structural Engineer and Functional Designer for their next parking deck project. This deck will be located along the City's Carroll Creek overlay district and represents another completed milestone for the downtown parking master plan DESMAN completed in 2002. Parking Deck #5 will be a 400-space, 8-level parking structure with 5000 square feet of streetfront retail space, located in the southeastern corner of the central business district in downtown Frederick. It is estimated that the new garage will open in the early fall of 2008.

DESMAN's Washington, DC (Tysons Corner) office has been working continuously with the City of Frederick for almost ten years providing parking consulting, design and restoration services. Most recently, the $900,000 restoration of the Court Street Garage was completed in December 2006. For Frederick Parking Deck #4, opened in September 2006, DESMAN served as the Prime Consultant, Structural Engineer of Record and Parking Consultant for the 660 space, 7 level parking structure with 29,000 square feet of government space located in the Frederick Town Historic District.
