DESMAN Contributes to ARCHITECT Magazine about Mixed-Use Developments

ARCHITECT Magazine asked Pier Panicali, a Vice President in DESMAN's Chicago office, to contribute his professional expertise to their "Park This Way" article in the magazine's October issue. The article discusses the shift in thinking about parking garages from a one-use building where patrons quickly move on, to incorporating mixed uses and creatively disguising the parking aspect with innovative design with regional flare and green features.

Below are two photos of one of DESMAN's mixed-use projects, Wilson Yard, which creatively disguises 500 parking spaces with a 2-story 180,000sf Target Store, 178 apartments and over 30,000sf of other retail and office space.
