Description: Located on the western edge of the Elkhart General Hospital Campus, this parking facility is the second of its type to be planned as an integral part of the hospital’s master plan. A five-level, two-bay concrete open parking structure with a capacity of 501 cars, the Clinton Avenue Employee Garage was designed with a mixture of exposed concrete and brick cladding to compliment the existing parking structure as well as the neighboring residential areas. The facility is served by two elevators and will be linked eastward to the main campus buildings by a covered walkway. Two-way access has been provided for vehicular traffic to both the north and the south. The perimeter of the facility was provided with a landscaped buffer in a manner similar to the rest of the campus. DESMAN worked along with AMDC, which acted as the Owner’s Agent, to deliver this project within budget and on schedule. Earl Swensson Associates provided the exterior theme.
