Description: The Merritt 7 Corporate Park is a combination of five adjacent office structures, with a 6th currently under construction. Each office building has its own parking garage below and is isolated from the adjacent one with traffic bearing expansion joints. The five garages are of various structural systems, ranging from pre-cast concrete tees, concrete waffle slab to cast-in-place post-tensioned concrete. The roof level of each garage combines limited parking with beautiful landscaping. Planters of various shapes and materials contain an abundant assortment of plants along with tables for eating outdoors. A program for plaza improvements was developed with the intention of maintaining the general aesthetics of the park. All brick pavers are to be replaced with imprinted concrete, the brick planters are to be removed and rebuilt as textured concrete and expansion joints are to be repaired. Other miscellaneous improvements include installation of new floor drains and repair of curbing.
