Description: DESMAN Associates was retained by Design Workshop, Inc. to review the parking operations and conditions in Cherry Creek North. This review is part of planning and urban design services for improvement of the 16 block area that makes up the Business District. There were a number of parking issues identified by the CCN Parking Committee which were considered in the parking analysis. A windshield survey of parking operations in CCN was performed by driving the area, taking field notes, and having a specific destination when parking. A description of the off-street parking garage options, valet parking options, and areas to increase the on-street parking capacity in CCN were created. Based on the analysis recommendations were provided regarding the implementation and improvement of providing way-finding signage, increase the on-street parking capacity, and improve the valet parking system. Observations regarding the availability of public parking in CCN were also noted.
