Description: The Danbury Hospital Red Lot Parking Garage Expansion is a horizontal expansion to the existing Red Lot Parking Garage over a new Renal Dialysis Center. This garage expansion supplies parking needs for the Center and a new Outpatient Diagnostic Building. Vehicular access to the garage expansion is provided by two supported pre-cast plant bridges on each level from the existing Red Lot Garage. The Garage Expansion also provides a pedestrian link from the main hospital through the new and existing garages, to the new Outpatient Diagnostic Building. This three supported level structure is separated from the Renal Dialysis Center by a two hour fire separation provided by a cast-in-place concrete topping over untopped pre-cast concrete double tees. An elastomeric membrane is provided at this level for waterproofing requirements.
