Description: DESMAN Associates was responsible for providing functional and structural design services for a parking structure at the Poughkeepsie Station. DESMAN also designed the revenue control system and vehicular wayfinding signage system as well.

As part of the project, an intermodal facility will be built adjacent to the existing station to facilitate transfer from bus, taxi and kiss-and-ride to the trains. The intermodal facility will require the renovation of the existing 400-foot long covered bridge that is part of the station?s historic designation. The project also included the reconfiguration of existing surface parking lots and the construction of new surface parking lots with enhanced lighting and surface treatments in keeping with the historic nature of the area.
