Description: The Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center Facility located in Chicago, Illinois was constructed to accommodate daily, hourly and overnight parking patrons composed primarily of Hospital employees, patients and visitors. The parking structure contains approximately 476 cars on four supported levels plus grade with a pedestrian bridge that connects it to medical center?s existing garage directly across the street. It is located just east of the Wellington CTA train and next to the Illinois Masonic Cancer Center Building. The structural system is pre-cast concrete. The exterior wall panels utilize ?thin-brick? to compliment the materials used on existing adjoining buildings were incorporated into the design of the parking facility. The planter boxes decorating the outside windows are irrigated in the summer and the stair / elevator tower is heated in the winter. DESMAN is the Architect and Structural Engineer of Record for the facility.
