93rd Street Medical Office Building & Garage
Cleveland, OH

Type: Health Care
Project Name: The Cleveland Clinic Foundation
City: Cleveland
State: Ohio
Client: The Cleveland Clinic Foundation

Features: 7 level, 1,300-car parking structure with 120,000 square feet of office space and 3,000 square feet of police space.

Description: The 93rd Street Medical Office Building and Parking Garage marks the emergence of The Cleveland Clinic Foundation?s emblem of healthcare, the Heart Center. The medical office building establishes a major point of entry to the Cleveland Clinic campus and creates a street edge along the Euclid Avenue corridor. There is also a Police space that occupies 3,000 square feet of the component. The L-shaped office building is a 6-story structure along the east and south sides of the adjoining 7-story parking garage. Visitors are quickly oriented to the CCF Campus by the direct view of the Heart Center as they enter the southeast corner of the medical office building. This light-filled, glass atrium is the connector between the parking garage and Heart Center. Elevators and a gracious open stair on the ground level allow visitors to reach the basement level where a tunnel will lead them to their destination. At night, the lighting inside illuminates the curtain wall glazing creating an alluring beacon for the Cleveland Clinic campus and Euclid Avenue. DESMAN served as the architect and engineer for the 1,300-car garage component and the structural engineer for the office building.
