Description: DESMAN Associates is the Architect and Structural Engineer of Record and Parking Consultant for a 1,000-car garage with two underground levels and two supported levels above grade with a non-parking landscaped plaza roof that also serves as a structural pad for an “L” shaped, steel framed mid-rise classroom building above. The facility will provide transient and monthly parking during the day and evening parking for special events at the adjacent Performing Arts Center. The garage structural frame consists of long span cast-in-place post-tensioned floor slabs and beams. A 1MM gallon storm water detention basin has been incorporated into the base level of the garage. The facility is three parking bays wide with a double helix two-way traffic ramping system.
