Description: Since 2003, DESMAN Associates has been retained by The May Companies, one of the largest retail shopping store owners and operators in the United States, to provide engineering and project management services concerning repairs and preventative maintenance of the Owner’s entire parking structure inventory, named by the Owner as their “Parking Garage Program”. The “Program” includes twelve (12) parking structures located from coast to coast (Boston, MA to Beverly Hills, CA).

DESMAN’s engineering services for the parking facilities has included: condition assessments of structural (visual observation, mechanical soundings and concrete testing) and MEP (visual observation) systems; development of repair/preventative maintenance options for various time frames (1 to 25 years depending on the facility); production of condition survey reports with program options and preliminary estimates of probable construction costs; construction documents for the Owner approved repair/preventative maintenance program; bidding services; contract administration and observation of construction work during the construction phase of each parking structure repair project.
