Kent State University study
Over the past decade, DESMAN has completed a number of assignments designed to improve the parking system. Beginning with the analysis of several parking lots and roadway relocations, in 2009, DESMAN more recently completed an analysis of the long-term financial health of the parking system. This study included an analysis of existing demand, rates and development of a parking revenue model with which to project the long term health of the parking system. The study also included a concept design of a 700 to 1100 space parking garage designed to accommodate the long-term parking demand near the new business school. The concepts took into consideration the topography of the site and especially the sensitivities of the views from off-campus.
