Holy Cross Hospital parking Garage

Features

6-Level, 700-stall parking deck

Summary

Developed as part of a new medical center campus which also included a new hospital building and a new medical office building, the parking facility provides parking for employees of the hospital and patients and visitors to the medical office building.  DESMAN designed the facility so the two user groups are segregated within the facility.   DESMAN served as architect of record and engineer of record for the project.

DESMAN lead an analysis of construction costs and scheduling with the Construction Manager (Whiting-Turner Contracting), which allowed for the construction of 130 more spaces than the medical center had initially anticipated.  The result is a precast, prestressed concrete frame with exterior architectural components such as form liner, composite metal panels, perforated metal panels, and glass curtain walls.  Each exterior design element related to the adjacent medical office building and hospital.
