Hancock Lot Parking Facility
5 above grade levels & 1 below grade, 712 space precast parking & post-tensioned concrete facility and plaza.
Quincy Center is experiencing a large downtown development boom. In keeping up with the development the existing Hancock surface parking lot was redeveloped to provide structured parking for two adjacent residential developments and additional paid public parking. The above grade structure of the facility is precast concrete and thin brick with terra-cotta accents and architectural screening. The below grade parking expands beyond the above grade footprint and beneath the plaza. The plaza area provides landscaped outdoor area for the nearby residential buildings and food trucks.
Extensive improvements to the site and existing utilities under the previous parking lot were required. In addition, localized environmental remediation was required due to previous uses of the site.
